Oregon Convention Center
Portland, OR
November 10-13, 2007

The 2007 NAEHCY Annual Conference, Blazing Trails and Moving Mountains, was a great success, featuring a full schedule of informative presentations, inspiring keynote speakers, and opportunities to engage with colleagues from around the country. Participants attended valuable sessions on effective school and community responses to homelessness, including practice-based strategies for implementing the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and related legislation. They had the opportunity to hear from the 2007 LeTendre Scholarship recipients, which is always one of the highlights of the conference. Finally, some attendees participated in a special child welfare track, sponsored by Casey Family Programs, devoted to the education of children in foster care.
